Job Description
-Collecting and analysing the technical welding specifications issued by Oil /Gas Companies, National & International Clients.
-Preparing and Issuing of technical query, budget for engineering welding activities, welding cycle time, quantity of welding consumables.
-Review of subcontractors\' tender documents and technical qualifications.
-Planning the welding activities, Preparation of preliminary welding specifications and maintain constant contacts with project team & Client.
-Coordination of welding procedure qualification, Issuing of final welding book inclusive of WPS\'S and PQR\'S, Issuing method statement, if applicable.
-Review and approve subcontractors\' Welding submissions. Ensuring that records are maintained for all Welding activities to demonstrate achievement of client quality requirements.
-Monitoring the site welding activities, to identify any eventual problem related to welding and NDT.
-Maintaining continuous contact with welding equipment suppliers and consumable vendors to promote advances in welding technology.
-Assisting Procurement/QHSE/Project/Site Departments on subcontractor assessments/audits.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualification : B E / B Tech (Metallurgy /Mechanical )
Desired Qualification : M E/ M tech (Metal Joining/ Welding)
Experience : 5 -10 Years relevant experience
Conversant with : ASME Sec II Part A & C, Sec V, Sec VIII, Sec IX, ASME B31.3, API 1104, API 620, AWS D 1.1, BS EN 15614, EEMUA 158 etc. Welding Requirements.
