System Administration (Core Area):
Proficiency in Microsoft 2000/2003/2008 Servers administration,
Experience in
Design/configuration of ADS/SMTP/DNS setup
Microsoft clustering/Windows NLB
Exchange 2000/2003/2007
Proxy Servers, IIS-Application Servers’ Integration
Virtualisation technologies including vmware
Exposure to MS SQL, Oracle Databases
Exposure to providing support to Software Development environments
Security management relating to OS, Applications etc
Patches installation/management, Anti-virus administration
Application support on servers, desktops
Proficiency with standard Backup tools including Veritas BackupExec/HP DataProtector
Exposure to Unix platforms such as HP UX, AIX, Solaris would be an added advantage.
Exposure to Management of Hardware platforms including Intel/Itanium Standard and Blade servers
Vendor Interface management including support
Issue management skills
Network (Support role) :
Exposure Cisco Switches/Routers
Exposure to LAN / VLANs support.
Exposure to communication links including Leased lines, Internet links, VPN
Wide Area Network uptime monitoring, recording, resolution
Co-ordination with Service providers for up time maintenance
Knowledge of security devices such as Firewalls
